As of 11:30 this morning (~31 hours after my initial request), I have had EIGHTEEN confirmed (i.e., "electronic") donations, 2 emails telling me that checks are on the way, and a number of "not yet but real soon now" emails

Thank you. But just remember that the whole reason you're coming to MD is to attend the fundraiser for breast cancer research. All of these funds go to the exact same place. So whether you put $10 in my hand or you buy 10 raffle tickets makes absolutely no difference... except that I'm not offering any prizes! ;-)

Wonderful news! I'll probably have to take a page from your book and suggest the $10 donations too... I have the challenge walk and the 5k to fundraise for and I'm also doing promotions for the MSFB so people keep seeing my name in relation to that and I'm already feeling like I'm double/triple dipping the family and friends.

The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer (DC) is April 30-May 1, starting/ending at L'Enfant Plaza in DC and looping around through the 'burbs during the weekend. Avon is hosting a total of EIGHT of them across the country though.

The MS 5K is on Sunday, April 17 in downtown Annapolis.

The MSFB itself on Saturday, July 2 in Glen Burnie.
