[Him being outside, alone certainly made things easier. Poland had seen Russia's fake hanging about recently. From the confrontation he'd had with him earlier on he knew that Russia's doppleganger was just as physically strong as the original and that was something he did not want to deal with.]
Liet! [Once close enough, Poland shouts with a fake joviality in his voice to get his attention. If Lithuania had been outside he might not have even heard the announcement, which would have been he best scenario. He wouldn't suspect anything.
Of course when you fight someone you never bank on the best scenario. Poland approached him cautiously.]
[At first, Lithuania is just surprised enough at hearing Poland calling him with familiarity that he responds without thinking, turning toward Poland.
It's only a moment later that he remembers the implication of Poland remembering now and coming over so cheerfully. He takes a step back, cautious. Poland doesn't seem to be holding a gun, at least. Lithuania has one on him, but... He doesn't want to kill Poland. He decides to remain where he is for now. Bolting in any direction could provoke a kneejerk attack.]
[Poland realizes his initial mistake immediately, watching Lithuania move backwards. He should have gone with something less familiar, but when you've been calling someone the same thing for centuries it's easy to slip up. He grimaces inwardly, but keeps it completely off his face. All it meant was a slight change in his approach, but he knew that he couldn't afford another mistake.]
Of course! I mean you had to know that this dumb town couldn't keep me brainwashed into forgetting you forever, right? Ha ha, like come on. Seriously? No way.
[He seems to have not attracted Lithuania's attention right away, which is a good thing. But something about what the doppelgänger chooses to say makes him all the more resolved to get this done and over with. They don't remember him, then don't want him. They want their own Lithuania back.
Calmly, but quickly, before Lithuania can respond to Poland, Estonia raises the rifle, takes a moment to aim, and shoots. But it's a little too low, a little off to the side. Definitely not a clean headshot.]
[Any response Lithuania might have made flies out of his mind as soon as he's shot, feeling pain in his left shoulder. He curses thinly, at not realizing Poland might not have been alone, and then--because pain has never really stopped him as it stops most--jerks back around the house. Unless whoever else is there--his mind cycles through options, none of whom he wants to consider--is in the air, they should have to move to get at him here.]
You're r-really doing what Mayfield wants?
[Lithuania has his sword, at least. Good thing he didn't trade that for any Christmas presents.]
[Poland ducked out of the line of fire quickly incase Estonia missed completely or it went in one end and out the other. He'd managed to hit him at least, but it was a totally awful shot considering how perfect the opportunity had been for Estonia to just nail him.
Poland couldn't even decide if an injured Lithuania was better or worse than just missing the shot all together. Lithuania fought differently when he thought there was even a slight possibility of dying, like some kind of angered wild beast was awakened in him fighting for survival.]
I wouldn't expect you to understand, we're just doing what we have to get our Lithuania back!
[Estonia swears under his breath, but then he's immediately moving to try to get another shot, moving towards Poland. Maybe if they ambushed together...]
Attack from the right. [He says it low and quick, quiet enough Lithuania shouldn't hear from his distance away.]
[He keeps moving back, though he doesn't want to risk circling the house completely. If he could see whoever it was who was shooting... But moving forward was a risk, too.
He's still a bit flustered, out of reluctance. He's far more defensive than he would be were he not facing off against Poland and some unknown attacker he probably actually knows. Still, he doesn't want to die.]
[Deciding to kill Lithuania's fake had been surprisingly easy for Poland. Actually going through with it, he found, was much harder. He knew deep down that it wasn't the real Lithuania, but they sounded so similar and acted so similar and just seemed so similar... He had to keep reminding himself that it wasn't him, and what he was doing was right.
Poland swiftly pulled the kitchen knife he'd been concealing in his back pocket out, and moved to attack Lithuania from the right, just as Estonia had instructed.]
[As Poland moves right, Estonia goes left. He agrees with the sentiment, to be honest. This whole ordeal gets more distressing every time the impostor tries to reaffirm just who he wants them to think he is. But now's not the time for distress, and as soon as Estonia has another clear shot at Lithuania, he takes it, hardly even bothering to stop and aim. This one is close again, but not fatal.]
[Preoccupied with keeping away from Poland, the shot strikes his left arm once again--this time only tearing muscle, but enough to make him jerk. They're really trying to kill him. Poland's gong to run him in circles around the house until he's shot through the head or bleeds to death, and he doesn't want to die.
His eyes narrow, and instead of moving back he darts forward toward Poland, drawing his sword in one smooth, practiced motion and aiming to circle quickly around Poland. The shooter's shots--and his best guess, given the poor aim, is Estonia--are shaky enough as it is. He'll have to risk getting closer to Poland and using the proximity to keep the gunfire down.]
[Poland recognized that look and skid to a stop, as Lithuania's sword finally came out and made a move to attack. He was regretting his decision to let Estonia handle the gun, his aim was just beyond terrible, and as Lithuania circled him, the likelyhood of Estonia missing Lithuania and hitting him was getting higher.]
Seriously, why do you want to stay around so badly, no one here wants you. Even if you beat us we're going to keep coming back until you're dead. Just give up and make it easy.
[The constant failure, although he knows full well the most likely cause -- and it isn't how long it's been since he's needed an attack like this -- is grating on him, so this time when Estonia aims, he takes time to do it right. Letting out a breath once he's predicted the movements of both of the pair across the way, he fires. This one should hit Lithuania's thigh dead on, just above the knee, precisely where Estonia was aiming. Just, please, Poland, don't be stupid enough to move.]
[Something dark and angry in Lithuania wants to strike hard, slice Poland's stomach open and tear out his throat for daring to attack him and even worse for daring claim he was anything other than Lithuania. He suppresses that urge. It's still Poland, and Poland thinks he's not Lithuania. Instead he aims to strike with the flat of his blade.
That's when the bullet strikes his thigh. His leg nearly buckles, but with a growl he forces himself to stay up. The pain can be ignored--it's sheer, bullheaded willpower keeping him standing, and it's enough for him.]
[It didn't really surprise him that Lithuania still hadn't gone down yet, he could be so freaking stubborn at the most inopportune times. He can't stop the chill that goes through his spine though and he knows that if he can't end this soon, this will not end in his favor.]
Well, then that makes two of us! [He charges at Lithuania with his knife, slashing at him wildly. What he lacked in physical strength, he could usually make up in speed and unpredictability. It wasn't the best idea, Poland knew that. Lithuania clearly had the advantage in weapon he didn't have a shield or anything to block a blow, but he couldn't keep relying on Estonia to finish Lithuania off. He'd have to do it himself, or at the very least die trying.]
If we want Liet back we have to kill the fake, and if he saw he television too we don't have a lot of time to come up with a strategy.
You're supposed to be the smart one, got any ideas?

Giving up isn't what I do, Lenkija.
[His voice picks up to a shout.]
Having fun, Estija?
