I fully believe that the imagination is capable of all sorts of horrors.

I fell into a pool, at night when I was three. I was fairly calm at the time feeling that someone was going to pull me out. Still, I can't stand swimming at night now. You're right, it's eerie. At age 14, my swim coach had us getting up at 5am to go swim before dawn in a long course pool up the street. At times I was so tired, and the lights did such a odd job of lighting up the lanes that I felt like the deep end was going to eat me. :S
I quit and went back to short course practice at 10am, I was so weirded out. :P

You like scaring the pants off yourself, don't you?

No more Angels, no more nocturnal wrecked at sea thingies!

It's one thing to face a fear, and another to poke it with a big stick. ;P

*hugs*

Finally! Finally someone knows exactly what I'm talking about! When swimming you're body is doing the work and your mind is free to wander. Everything comes back to you and it's just, suddenly hitting you in the face. Something isn't right and it makes you afraid and sad and...

Exactly. Exactly. 5am practice at the pool (short-lanes) was terrifying. I was always scared that I wasn't going to be able to out-swim whatever was in the water with me. Yet another fear thanks to 'The Beast' which came out in '96 as well. Poor 8-year old me. It was a year of ghostly-wrecks and giant squids snatching people.

I do, and then I end up paying for it later. D: I'm trying! But some of these things just build and build.... I thought I could do it. I thought I could get over it. Noooo.

Your hugs are most appreciated! *hugs back to fellow weirded-out friend*

It's cool you were taking measures to rid yourself of the fear. I think that's a big step. We can't help what we're afraid of, but we can try and make it better :B *hug*

Oh, that's so cool! You do have mad skillz in the paper maiche arena.
Can't wait to see more progress on it.

I really think you should look into making a career out of this, I think you'd be great! Not to mention, you'd be getting to do something you're passionate about. :D
I might take my supervisor's class on making masks and other theater-y prop things next semester. I'm excited! :D

How I wished my 'Scare-yourself-silly-until-you-can't-be-scared-anymore' plan had worked.

Muahaha! All primed and trimmed. I may work on the scales tomorrow. ;) It's actually very fun to create with maiche in a cerebral way. You have to actually think about how to create spikes and spines and stuff. It's like sewing. Putting all the pieces together to make something new.

Yeah, I know. But! I just picked up a application for a holiday job at Bath & BodyWorks. Here's hoping!

Oh gosh. Yes, do it. Do it please! Twould be awesome fun and you could learn how to do face-casting.

Yeah, stuff like that really makes you think and plan out everything you're doing. I'm still working on my vest 'cause it's hard to mentally manipulate the lining and such. I dunno how to explain it, but it hurts my brain xD

Ooooh, hope you get it!

If it's less than 4 credits, and fits in my schedule, i'm going for it!

Say, what vest-pattern are you using? It sounds a lot like my pattern: Simplicity Easy-to-Sew #4079. It's confusing but once you put it all-together it's suddenly, 'Voila!' it makes sense! Lining and I don't like each other so when I get to that part I'll ask Mom for some tips and pass them along to you hun. ;) When I start. XD

Ehee.. so do I. ^^;

Do eet! I'd love to be in one of those classes... sounds like a lot of fun!
