Happy New Year, everyone! :D

1. I've finally stopped traveling, and am now warmly and safely ensconced at home. 2011! It's not so weighty as 2010 nor anywhere near as neat, but it's the Year of the Rabbit and that does seem to mean something for us, Class of the Births of 1987. You are an amazing wordsmith, and you inspire the rest of us, and I hope that one day you can see that. With that said, though, I understand what it's like to constantly second guess your own ability. It's a cultural thing, all too often, and I was raised not to be a writer but to be a scientist and a doctor first and foremost, with all the analytical "is this good or is this bad?" objectivity that entails.
