Damn, you were really close to me and I didn't even know it. Was it your first time in Germany? Glad to hear that you had a good time. Heidelberg is awesome and it's university even more so, I have a friend who reads physics there.

The a/e match, oh god, I am dithering so much about which team to join it's getting really ridiculous. I'm probably going to leave until the last minute and then just blindly pick one.

It was my first time! I wish I'd been able to look around Stuttgart and Frankfurt at the very least, but unfortunately my cell phone didn't work and I had to stay in Heidelberg :'( still, what a place to stay in. (Where are you located, or is that private? I knew you were in Germany but I didn't know you were in that area! :D) Ahahaha I kept seeing the theoretical physics students slog up the hill to the institute building, beautiful surroundings but SUCH a climb...

Stuttgart and Frankfurt are not nearly as picturesque as Heidelberg but they're both cool cities in their own right, although Stuttgart is currently going a bit cray-cray over the construction project of a new main railroad station. I'm living in the north of Germany, in Hamburg, but my parents live in a small-ish town very close to Stuttgart and I was visiting them just two weeks ago.

I kind of want to pick team romance but at the same time I feel like angst would be much more of a challenge but then I'm probably going to be sad all the time form all the sad art so idk, it's a dilemma.

They do look lovely, and besides, it is difficult for ANY city to be as picturesque as Heidelberg, isn't it! Aw man in that case you would have probably left your parents' before I arrived-- not that I would have been able to meet up, unfortunately, since I was a hanger-on to a conference... :'(

CLOUDS ARE AMAZING OMG YESSSS ;____; Unfortunately I've sent my camera out for repairs, but all the sky pictures had clouds that were so gorgeously unreal, blue skies + awesome clouds + mountainous skyline with silhouettes of pine trees in the distance = THE BEST EVER RIGHT?!

UGHHHH FUCK WAIT LISTEN so apparently Heidelberg is at a vastly different latitude from Seoul, I mean I was aware that it was, you know, MORE NORTHERLY, but I didn't know that the sun wouldn't set until, like... NINE O'CLOCK AT NIGHT. WHAT THE HELL. So for an entire week I KEPT MISSING THE FUCKING SUNSET X_____X and my hotel room faces some direction that is neither the east nor the west, so I couldn't see the sunrise either, and it's just, like, AT LEAST THE DAYTIME CLOUDS WERE PRETTY... FUCK.

Lololol so much Korean entertainment TV, you are a wastrel after mine own heart :') I watched an episode of Strong Heart yesterday with my mother and a plate of fried chicken because we had mild jet lag! It was amazing!
