If you're talking about the recent "Padfoot lives" wristbands, then from what I can see of the pattern curling is mostly controlled by the fact that the yarn is knit tightly for the gauge. If it's still curling too much for you, I recommend doing the rows before and after the intarsia in either ribbing or seed stitch.
