help with a pattern

Okay, weasleysweaters. I'm crazy, and am looking to knit a book!Ravenclaw school sweater vest in a few sessions of marathon knitting. I would LOVE to finish it by the movie premiere (I'm going to the midnight showing in my area), but would be satisfied with finishing it by the book release.

The pattern gauge is 22x30 or 5.5st/in. The smallest size requires 100st to be cast on for the back. That's 18.2" for the back, or essentially 36" in circumference for the sweater. If you worked the same size at 20st/4in (5st/in), that would be 20" a side, or just under 40" in circumference. So, a straight sub with no adjustments won't work ( ... )

You might try knitting Knitty's Leftovers vest and just make it solid and include a house stripe set at the bottom. It'll be more fitted, but you could make it for the larger bust size to make it a bit more baggy. And, on the plus side, it's a really really quick knit.
