Yep, you need to join the comm to vote. You don't have to stay a member, but you will have to join for the poll to work. You can do it on the profile page.

I'm having the same problem as the other person, I think. I just got an account and just joined weasleysweaters. (i made sure to hit 'join' and not 'watch') Maybe it takes awhile before you can vote in polls and stuff?
