Hey hun, I've signed the petition and I think the number of names on it (when I signed) was 8992, or somewhere around there, so the plan to get rid of the Red Arrows should (hopefully) be scrapped. I hope it is.

fingers crossed - but the cynic in me remembers all the other similiar petitions that got ignored - and they involved more weighty things *coughs*iraq*coughs*

Yeah, I know *looks partly defeated*

But as this involves only intra-UK politics (more so than the whole mess that is our part in the horrors still happening in Iraq), I'm slightly more hopeful that the anti-decommisioning of the Red Arrows faction will be listened to. Plus, the Red Arrows are, like, a national symbol for us here in the UK; on the same level as the Union Jack, the royalty and many other things (such as Dr. Who?!) for a large part of the population.
