Charles Bromley is sitting at a Bar he has never been in before, drinking a cup of coffee with healthy servings of sugar, cream, and blood.

Hey, when you're a vampire, you've got to get your blood somehow, and most of the other drinks he'd tried with it tasted awful (though there was a port that blended well, and he'd made a note to suggest that ( Read more... )

Edward is...looking a little haggard. That's to say the least. He's been in bar waiting (fearfully) for what's behind his door and keeping mostly to the sunlight.

So venturing inside, his guard's down and then suddenly there's a ...

Well.

He'd seen his pictures before (We'll have to shut down the search for a cure.) but he didn't think to meet the man in person.

He takes a step back and hopes to be avoided.

Charles notices the haggard (human) man come into the Bar and nods to him.

"Good evening, I presume?"

It's currently evening here, and it's definitely past dusk back on Earth. Charles Bromley would normally be absorbed in the newspaper while drinking his coffee, but he'd managed to catch what he needed off the TV before he left home, so his surroundings have his full attention.

Of course he doesn't recognize Edward Dalton (why would he, anyway?), but he does take note of a human being entering his surroundings.

It's hard for them not to (given what Edward has heard. The ravings of paranoid lunatics and all that)

How did they find me? I thought-no, of course not-I've seen this guy before, I-

"...Good Evening sir." Ed's tone turns obsequious. The exact same tone he'll be using with his boss for the rest of his undead life.

It takes him a moment to remember that this creature can't hurt him here.. So he takes a seat and nonchalantly orders his own coffee.

oblivious.

It's pretty safe to say that even if Edward's body language isn't screaming, it's talking loud enough to be overheard if you're trying to listen in. As such, Bromley is assuming that Edward is from his own world (which he believes is a safe assumption) and about the same timeframe (which he knows is probably more of a stretch).

"I'm Charles Bromley." Bromley stands and offers a handshake to the human; he's guessing the personal bit was unnecessary, but form is form. "And you are?"

Once introductions are had, Bromley gestures for Edward to feel free to have a seat.
