In my family, when we have to give our cats ear medication, we usually wrap them up in towels like little kitty burritos so they can't scratch. They hate it, of course, but they would hate it with or without the towel.

I've tried but I haven't yet mastered the cat swaddling. And then when I let him go he's so eager to get away that he ends up at least scratching me with his back feet as he bursts out of the towel.

Dang, I'm hoping to see you in Oct, but I respect your socialization priorities. Maybe you can wave in the direction of my house if you happen to be driving past on 87 or 280.

I need to give that new LCD Soundsystem more of a chance. I listened to it once on some online-streaming thing when it came out, and was not immediately delighted, and then drifted off to the next shiny new music. I'll give it another try today.

There are a couple of filler tracks, but for the most part, god, it's amazing. And I imprinted it by wandering around said art museums while listening to it. I LOVE listening to music while I'm in art museums.

I appreciate the acknowledgement of flakiness, as I was pretty pissed about it at the time (though I'm sure the fact I was sleep deprived/hungover didn't help either). It's hard to keep balance and not over commit when traveling, but yes communication is super awesome in this sort of situation...

D'oh, we'll miss you by a week (down in the Yay Area again on the 1st-3rd). Whenever I'm around the old stomping grounds I inevitably end up flaking on 2-4 people and feel bad about it until the next time I'm down and flake out again.

How long are you in PR again? We'll attempt to make a visit trip and be non-obnoxious guests.
