Today I got to watch the UW Huskies basketball team earn their first Pac-10 title since 1953. It was a really close game against archnemesis Washington State, both sides very aggressive, and the usual complement of terrible ref calls. But we prevailed, and they let the crowd spill onto the court and they had the pomp and circumstance of cutting

(I went to UNC for basically three years and never saw a single basketball game. In fact, i'm still hazy on where our basketball stadium lives.)
