I'm one of the Americans who has tuned out the war. I disagree with it and have so strongly from the beginning that I'm just tired of hearing about it. I realize that my vote and my opinion meant nothing from the beginning, and too much power has gone into the hands of evil politicians. I don't agree with what we are doing to our military troops who have fought valiantly for what?

Doug, I'm just curious if your dad, a career military man, has ever said anything about the conduct of this particular expedition. I know he may be reluctant to offer a frank opinion on its objectives and execution, but commentary on the war (pro or con) seems at most sporadic when coming from those who've actually worn the uniform.

My Dad is an interesting character (for so many reasons). We haven't had any meaningful discussions about the Iraq war, except in the runup to the 2004 election (where I was surprised to find that they both pretty much agreed with me ( ... )
