Marathon Planning

I'm thinking about the next race to run. These are marathons I'd like to attempt in my lifetime, with 2006 / 2007 dates:

The London Marathon, London, England: 04/23/2006 (it's rumoured that you just run around a traffic circle 72 times saying, "Hey kids! Big Ben! Parliament!") ((I could almost do this one this year except that I don't have ( Read more... )

marathons, 26.2 for life, somebody's gonna need a rub down

Bar crawls seem more appropriate in London, Dublin, New Orleans, and Austin.

If you were a real man, you'd do the Pike's Peak Marathon.

My boyfriend, Nick, wanted to do the Marine Corps, but decided to really turn up the torture level and go all out for Pike's Peak. It's in August and he just booked our room. I'll be there to take in the sights and wait with stretcher and medics at the finish line for him. :)

My friend Katie just did the Dublin marathon and had a blast. It rained the whole time, but she still had a good time. I would love to do Dublin, Connemara, New York, and DC. Oh and Phoenix. So let's make a plan.

Now you're talking! I'm all about the "let's make a plan" part.

I've run my sub-4 hour 'thon, and since I'm not really that interested in pushing my body for a Boston Qualifier (let's just assume that I could do it if I wanted to, but it would take more work than I'm willing to put into it...), I'm all about the relaxed 4 hour - 4 1/2 hour run. That's some good stuff right there!

I told Bryce it was my dream for us to run a marathon together. He said, "Well if its your DREAM then I will do it." I think I want to do another TNT marathon next. Not sure what they are offering, but I am going to look into it.

Also, I thought of another one...San Diego!

I'd be up for San Diego. Phoenix sounds nice, too. Claire recently mentioned that she wanted to take up running, too. Strange. But that would be fun. Then TTBC can be super efficient out there on the course cheering all of us on.

('cause Lord knows she's not about to take up running anytime soon...)
