i loved kanye for his positive music....but after the way he has conducted himself lately, it is his ego, not his message that seems to show more.

West's comment about the president was cut from NBC's West Coast airing, which showed three hours later on tape.

Weak...so much for the 1st ammendment.

"It would be most unfortunate," the statement continued, "if the efforts of the artists who participated tonight and the generosity of millions of Americans who are helping those in need are overshadowed by one person's opinion."

Considering an entire Super Bowl was "over-shadowed" by someone's BOOB, I think we'd actually be on the right track by paying attention to someone's opinion.

since when is NBC the government? the 1st amendment doesn't apply to media censoring itself.

Thanks. Your point is valid. I retract my comment about that. It's funny how the media tried to hide it then it was reported anyway.

Kanye's my new hero.

I know nothing about his music.

But the look on Mike Myers' face after he said that . . . priceless.

I feel a little bad for Mike Myers because he was clearly as shocked about it as everyone else was, and in the pantheon of celebrities, he's about as inoffensive as it gets (as far as I know). But the look on his face, and then the look on Chris Tucker's face when they threw to him immediately was almost too much. He was caught between, "Did he just say what I think he just said?!?" and "Umm...I have nothing that can even remotely follow that." And Chris Tucker is fairly quick on his feet with quippy retorts, etc.

I only know "The College Dropout" by Mr. West, but it's quite good, and he says some things that I think should be said more in hip-hop and overall in music. Worth checking out.

Oh, and he just came out saying that hip-hop and rappers especially should stop gay-bashing. So that's nice.

Well if Kanye West and Al Sharpton said it, that's good enough for me...

So... the problem with New Orleans is too many single parents? Um...

No, the problem is that President Bush designed the levees in New Orleans to only be able to withstand a category 3 hurricane, because he hates black people.

Bush should know better, he's President of the United States of Levees.
