Another example of suicide prompted by online bullying.

I know this community is about more than cyberbullying of teenagers, but I've had the tabs on this story open for several days and decided to share them with you all before I closed them. If we're going to make any headway, this issue is where we'll get a start.

H/T to cleolinda, who alerted me to this story on Twitter.

We garnered some re-Tweetin' here, Doc. Made me think of this nonsense from Young Pork Brow was cooking up this tine last year. ;)

He quote truly sums it up, "Their few moments of lucidity are spent bemoaning the "cyber bullies" and trying to make anti-cyber bully groups and legislations cover adults, when it is clearly meant to protect children from their cruel peers.

Sorry, once you turn 21, nay, 18 even, you lose your innocence. ESPECIALLY when your very existence and stupendously controversial and antagonistic life choices do nothing but foment outright hysteria in even the most level headed individuals."

How poetic that so many of his 'level headed friends' then turned upon him. *cruel smile*

Heh. Fitting.

As for the cyberbullying laws, they haven't even been extended to all minors. That would be a start.

Next would be a law that would be powerful enough to convince Google to remove posts that are defamatory from their archives. Right now, that's not the case. There are a bunch of posts from an enemy of mine that say that I've done all kinds of despicable acts. Well, I have, but not those!
