AU stands for alternate universe, which tends to be played out in journals instead of the comm proper; it can be anything from post-camp scenarios, to parallel universe scenarios, to bizarro!character scenarios, but I think most of the time it means characters-are-able-to-have-sex scenarios. CFUD players have dirty minds. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE

Pretty much anything that cannot happen in Camp proper counts as an AU. I eagerly await the day someone does a 250+ comment AU of eating nothing but desserts and snacks made with real sugar.
