oh wow. this was wonderful. heartbreaking and raw and almost sweet in places, those tiny moments when ryan lets his guard down with them, if only just a little. ryan watching people on the strip who are anything but like what he's known is just so agonizingly perfect, bittersweet and desperate. i love how you've stuck in tiny bits of reality, the scarf, the coffee, moulin rouge. you've given us such a true picture of them with so few words. truly wonderful. i've added this to my memories for future reading. thank you for sharing it.

I loved those first few lines, because they called up such a specific image. You did some great work with imagery here, from little details and descriptions. I really love Ryan watching Jon from way up high, too.
