A Trip to the Stone Zoo

By Melissa's suggestion, we made a trip to the Stoneham Zoo on Saturday. It was bright out and it was hot out. Most of the animals we saw (by which I mean, they weren't hiding) were lying there, trying not to bake in the heat. Poor Katie! Did she bleed much? You had to get stitches at the ER in Ft. Wayne when you and Jack were running around the house & bumped into one another & you got whumped up against the outside corner of a wall. You bled like a stuck pig.

On another note, Ft. Wayne had one of the best children's zoos in the country back then & they had alligators & ducks in the same area. The ducks always became the alligators' dinner. It was not a pretty sight.

She didn't bleed at all, it was just a big, swollen gash. The tears flowed more freely than the blood.

Well the playground was IN the zoo, right by their refreshment stand that's covered in bees.

But we also saw another playground as we were driving back to 93... it seemed reasonably sized, and had a pretty sprinkler fountain thing. I almost wanted to stop and play in the water.
