Uh oh!

Melissa and Katie returned from Indiana safe and sound on Saturday. Katie returned more talkative than she was when she left. No longer satisfied with just grunting and crying, she now says things in certain situations. Any time she accidentally drops something, she says "uh oh!" She picked this up after Melissa and I repeatedly said "uh oh!"

Last night, we were trying to get her to go to sleep, but she wasn't quite ready. We had her in our bed, with all the lights out, and she was swapping between nursing and sucking on her binky. Well, eventually she yanked the binky out of her mouth and tossed it up in the air, where it disappeared from sight. I heard something clatter behind the head board, and said, "oh no, did it just go behind the bed?" Melissa replied with a big frustrated sigh, "YES! She threw it behind the bed." Then, from between us came Katie's response: "uh oh!"

It's awesome when children start to talk. It's like, hey I can actually have a conversation with this little munchkin. It's so cool. There Will Be Blood was very good too. A must see.
