White Collar locations

Sep 13, 2013 18:28

Okay, I admit, this is not directly about writing, but I need some good White Collar locations to visit during a New York trip...I remember faintly that someone wrote up a "sighseeing tour" at one point, but I have lost the link. Either way, any tip for locations to visit (especially the places where they filmed in central park) would be ( Read more... )

You could check out the comments here for some ideas.

This site has some from S1 and S2 (mainly S1):

Of course, there's the Empire State Building now too!! Well worth a visit anyway, the views from the top are great!

Have been there, done that (plus travelling over to Roosevelt Island and visiting the old abandoned hotel they used in the one Keller-Episode) ...I'm looking more for uncommon locations.

Thank you for the link...too bad that it isn't very specific about the locations in central park

Yeah, it only really gives two Central Park locations. I know in one episode Peter and El are seen sitting near the Reservoir. Not exactly an uncommon location, though I only knew it because of a trip to New York in 2002 (where I totally and utterly fell in love with the Chrysler Building), so I guess some fans would like to know that!

Hope others can help!

Have you been to the USA White Collar Forum? There's a canon thread that's in dire need of an update (which, sadly, is up to me to update). One of the posts is The Places of White Collar, http://forums.usanetwork.com/index.php?showtopic=462818#entry1609401.

It's pretty up-to-date through the third season (as best as we could identify places).

Thank you! no, I haven't seen it so far, I noramlly avoid the Forum, since it is basicially Hillary Burton Fan territory

BTW, in addiction to the timeline I did, I DO have a fact sheet about all the characters...I never posted it online, but if you are interested, contact me privately.

I'm doing this off the top of my head and while between houses so I don't have access to any of my WC DVDs, but here are some Central Park locations. They filmed the scene with the dress and bomb (Season 1) around the Bethesda Terrace. Also, the garden that Peter and Neal are in when Neal is snatched by Vincent in the S2 finale is Conservatory Garden/English Garden at the north end of the park. They've also filmed in front of the Metropolitan Museum (the scene with Rusty and Mozzie from the S3 finale) which is in Central Park (5th Ave & 84th St) and the Natural History Museum (the bit with Mozzie and Satchmo as a seeing eye dog), which is right across from the Park at Central Park West and 81st.

According to Jeff Eastin he made up the sundial. The scene was shot in Central Park at the Ladies Pavilion on The Lake at approximately 77th and Central Park West.

Ah, thank you, then I can stop searching for it (too bad, though, it looked great).
