Neal goes to DC

Neal is upset about El being kidnapped and the fact that Peter is really angry with him, so he agrees to confess to everything and go to DC with Kramer. In the end, Peter has small going away party at his house for Neal. It was a longer story and made me cry through most of it. I hope someone knows this story. Thanks.

Except for the going away party, it sounds like it could be embroiderama's That Burns a Building Down. It's one of my faves and the only 'Neal goes to DC' story that I can think of. Hope that helps!

Thanks for responding, but that is not what I was thinking of. I think it was by the same author, but the story I was looking for takes place before Neal goes to DC.
