Is there a hack that makes sims put leftovers away? It annoys me to death when my sims have sparkly food, only eat a few bites, and then "clean up" the nearly full plates

Check out Dizzy's hacks. I know there is one to make sims get leftovers before making something new, and I'm almost certain there is one to make them autonomously put away the food too. I would check, but I don't know what EPs you have.

Dizzy at the ladenswallow has a hack that does that, but in order for it to work properly you will need three hacks total. Otherwise they continue making plate after plate after plate instead of using what they have.

Thanks so much! I am off to check on these, and see if I can run them all on the Mac.

I already have the *food already available,* I think, but it doesn't seem to do anything in my game. Maybe I need an upgrade, or perhaps it's not Mac friendly.

food already available only gets the sims to pick up the slice of pizza, go to the buffet, or "get a plate" before making more food. That's why you need the two from Dizzy as well as that one.
Store leftovers will have them auto put them away, and the Leftover hack has them see the leftovers as an option when they are hungry. Normal maxis behavior has them defaulting to pulling food out and cooking more.

The documentation for the hacks are in the file. Unfortunately, you have to download the entire collection in order to get a few and it's readme.
