Because my indepth searches have brought up nothing that I gain access too, which I blame on my being unable to play Sims for roughly a year now at least (links die y'know

I'm guessing that by nursery sets that you mean furniture, otherwise I'm just being stupid and am as lost as always. XD
This is probably a stupid question...But have you tried checking out the "Nursery Time" collection at TSR? Here's a link to the Sets>Rooms>Nurseries page of that collection. Most of it, sadly, isn't Maxis-match, so recolors for the default crib beddings/changing tables won't work for them...But there are a lot of cute sets on there.

Edit: However, here are a few links - I use the pajamas in this set, and these are my replacements for everyday. Both use the Maxis meshes.
Return of edit: I assume you're referring to Sims 2 and not Sims 3.

I particularly like the "S2S Nursery Kamila" by Sims2Sisters. You can find a bunch of recolors of it done by the artists right here, and here's the booty link to their section (the files all start with "s2snurserykamila"), where you can get the meshes and recolors.
You can also check out the other nursery sets on TSR right here, and check their section of the booty for any pay sets.
Hopefully I'm not just directing you to things you've already seen...Sorry if I am!
