Are these questions serious?

Would you even think to ask this many personal and prodding questions of a white American poetry editor? When only one (at most) is about poetry?

Perhaps you don't mean to come across as agressive and offputting, but some of these leave me wondering if the next question is "can I pet your hair", they're so dehumanizing.

She said "follow-up questions", not "abrupt interrogation of stuff only tangentially related to the interview".

Bearleyport, I do not know you from Adam, but I am frankly surprised that you would assume I would be your token ex-Soviet to interview right here on WC Roberts' blog. We had been discussing my zine and poetry in general, and my mention of FSU was limited to "I was born in the former Soviet Union." Your zeroing down on that one feature and questioning me about everything from Gogol to Marxism-Leninism is disrespectful and bizarre. I am nobody's token ex-Soviet. I am a person ( ... )

"I was interested in what Rose Lemberg said about her background. I wanted to know more. I asked."

So why then, didn't you ask, Rose, I'd like to know more about your background, is that okay?

Where do you leap from "wanting to know about her background" to asking about her feelings on death?

Not okay, dude. Never okay.

Not that I think this will do any good, but it's a better answer than my previous one, so I leave it here:

Andy, you demonstrated with those questions that you have no respect for Rose either as an editor or a person.

And now, I'd say, you get to reap what you've sown.

But I like questions. I'm curious. I have not lost my sense of wonder.

Could you be any more disingenuous?

This has nothing to do with your sense of wonder. This has to do with you deciding to poke someone with a stick. Not only is the basic behavior disgusting, but so is your unprofessionalism and cowardice in deciding to hide behind a sockpuppet name to set up your fun and games.
