To argue that America is already at war in the region with a wider Islamic threat, of which Iran is the epicenter, is to promote a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I heard something on NPR last night to the effect of: Iran is supporting forces in Iraq that are giving the US forces a hard time. This is just a prequel to what will happen if things with Iran escalate and we actually do start a war with them too. My first thought was "Oh goody, we get to do this again just because certain powerful people are being stubborn and refuse to admit they were wrong." Now I'm all for stubbornness to a certain degree, but that must be balanced by the ability to listen to reason and know when to give up.

all this is cool and all but it should never be put before the fact that there is simply an incredible amount of money to be made in this. Never mind all that global responsibility crap... the strength of our business is the strength of our people, right? Denying our energy and MI companies the right to essentially print money in the face of bullshit that nobody cares about but europeans flies in the face of everything that it means to be american. Im sure there are people out there that are still pissed that WW2 ended when it did. Like IG Farben. They were the true masters. Selling aviation petrol to both sides so they wouldnt get bombed? brilliant.
