Insanity

Sep 25, 2006 15:11

Ask any of my close friends and they'll tell you I long ago accepted the paradigm that we live in a world framed with insanity: shoot someone in the face and the target should apologize, Jesus wants people to hate, the US can invade other countries because 'we can,' news about missing cute single white-girls trumps the deaths of hundreds or ( Read more... )

*picks up his phone and calls the Thoughtpolice*

You, sir, are a seditious, criminal traitor and have obviously aligned yourself with Al-Qaeda for even daring to insinuate that 2+2=4.

2+2=5
2+2=5

when I first arrived in Australia, there were riots against George Bush in Sydney almost every day especially at the University. And I got so tired of being verbally attacked I started telling people I was Canadian. Because...they were right. EVerything they said was right. A lot of them were more up to date on OUR current events then most Americans I know.

so--this is going to get me into trouble with somebody somewhere (lucky me--i'm related to lots of spooks) but there is this thing somewhere on one of those old document thingies that says we're supposed to throw out our government if we the peeps no longer subscribe.

let's go.

there are more of us than them. i call for the resignation of the president, his vp, their cabinet and all the other lying cheating pigs who are not just bleeding this country dry of cash, but of spirit.

we should be ashamed. voting isn't enough.

> Our country has entered into a very serious and open discussion about the merits of torture as an instrument of our government. What the fuck?

And we seem to now have no trouble grabbing a Citizen of our single closest economic, geographic, and cultural alley (Canada) out of the waiting line in an Airport, denying them council or the ability to contact family, and on no evidence other than association, send him to Syria to be tortured.

And our 'Justice' system's excuse? We 'sought assurances' from Syria that he wouldn't be tourtured.

Oh... Gee... Assurances... from Syria... I feel bett.. wait a tick!!! Syria!?!?! Aren't they on some list thingy that Bush likes to point at about state sponsored terrorism? We can't trust their assurances not to send missiles to Hezbollah, HAMAS, PFLP-GC, the the PIJ... but thank god we got their assurances about their humane treatment of Maher Arar.

And we're morally superior to Iraqi Kidnappers HOW!?!?!?

Me = Fed up.
