I completely forgot it was the Night of Museums yesterday :( Instead I was spending a few days off at my dad’s house. My little sister is 18 years old now, it feels weird

I didn't know either for the Night of Museums; my mom only told me yesterday late at night but we were at my dad's, in the middle of a party and far away for any museum, bawwww. I'm so bummed I missed it *again*!
I always have a soft spot for the water mon but-- w-what is that??? I can see a reptile of sorts, a pig-thingy and... w-what is that??? Do I have no imagination? I-Is it going to turn into a huge polar bear or something??? If it is, I'm getting it. <<-- Okay, so it's a Sea Otter. And not a polar bear.
...bummer.
The girl trainer is awesome. Her clothes are something I'd definitely wear ^^
That was my initial reaction especially to the water one (at first I only liked the fire pig, and then, only its shape, not its colors), but by keeping on seeing their designs everywhere, I started to like them. Now I really want to see the evolutions of the starters, and detailed sprites of the trainers :D
I first thought her hair and shorts were kinda ridiculous, but now I'm in love with everything about her design ^^ I'm probably too easy to please right? D:
It's great, isn't it? I love the originality of this artist.
Oh, well, to be honest, I don't think that French fantasy is that great :/ I tried a few but I pretty much read only US fantasy. However we are pretty good for fantastique stuff... I enjoyed a lot Bernard Werber; Les fourmis and its sequel Le jour des fourmis are my personal favorite. Marie-Aude Murail and her sister Moka are my favorite fantastique authors for children and teenagers. They wrote together a series called Golem that reminds me a lot of Anthony Horowitz's style. But if you want to go for more "respected" authors, René Barjavel has written very good SF (Le voyageur imprudent made a huge impression on me when I read it). Speaking of SF, I can only encourage you to read some books from the Futurs mystères de Paris series by Roland C. Wagner, so I could have someone to fangirl with about them if you happened to like them too <3 I think my favorite contemporary French author is Daniel Pennac, I'm pretty sure you would like him too :) Try Messieurs les enfants for a

Oh, I'm sorry I wasn't clear enough, Pennac doesn't write fantasy/SF so you'd have to look for him in "littérature française" or something ^^;
I don't think it's too dramatic if you don't start les futurs mystères de Paris with the first book because each volume has a different investigation, but there are always several references to previous books... Whyyyy do books disappear from shelves as soon as we start looking precisely for them? :(
Dumas's so good at writing exciting plots :3 I don't know the two other books.
You know you're doomed, because if you bought the first volume of De cape et de crocs, I'm pretty sure I know what is going to happen to your remaining 50 euros ;)
