So how many people from that, uh... from that world are actually here? Like, wizards and all of that? And am I going to get a wand in my face for being such a pretentious ass of a professor?

It's one thing to have a passing knowledge of a series as a pop culture reference. But... to live it? And then to realize that, for some people, it isn't and ( Read more... )

speculating, am i real?, event, i have a brother whether i like it or no, we has wizards?, bubotubers are gross

We've had more pretentious arses than you for professors before, so I think you're safe.

But it's bizarre, realizing someone reads your life for fun. It's the strangest feeling quite possibly ever.

Well, that's good. I'd like to think that I'm not the worst candidate for a teaching gig in the world.

I can imagine. I, uh, never read the books myself, but my old girlfriend made me watch one of the movies with her. Which, I'm sure, is even more bizarre.

...There are movies? Muggle movies? Really?

Yup. The one I saw had werewolves and shapeshifters. Not bad, as far as special effects go.

You know, some have said that it is possible that every work of fiction is real somewhere. That could also imply that everything real, could be fiction somewhere as well.

When considering how many worlds, and realities exist, an infinite number of them to be exact, you just learn to ignore the bits that are bothering.

That raises some particularly disturbing questions about reality. I've got enough disturbing questions floating around my head.

Parallel universes tend to belong to the science fiction genre, which I've never been wholly comfortable with.

Reality is tentative, and sometimes only as solid as the majority rule. Or, that's one theory.

I could try and go into string theory and other thoughts on time and space but science isn't my forte. I can assure you though that other worlds, and worlds right next to the ones we know as home are common.

So if reality is only as real as the people who believe in it, does that mean that what's going on now - all of us converging here in Wonderland - that it's some kind of meltdown? That the fabrics between dimensions are wearing thin? But if this place has its own mythos and its own "reality," is it some kind of Grand Central for the universe, or just another mirage?

Ow, I think I just hurt my head.

No. I didn't put the cucumber from hell in your bag. At the time I wished I had thought of it, but no. I probably would have done something worse, like transfiguring your briefcase to snap at you if you opened it, or put a sticking charm on your chair.

Dude! Our rivalry was out of control, but at least you admitted what a dick you were. I on the other hand, was nothing but civil.....Okay not really...But you have to wonder...what the hell would have happened if we really started going at each other with magic?

It was like our prank wars magnified by about a million.

You were no more of a dick then you are normally. Take that as you will.

The two of us duking it out with magic would've been epic. I mean, I'm enough of a freak as it is with the whole visions thing, but if both of us had powers and were going at each other? That's just scary.

Nickelodeon's a television station, mostly filled with cartoons or old TV shows. Er... do they have television where you come from?

A cartoon's, uh... a set of brightly-colored moving pictures, mostly put on for the entertainment of children.
