By the time Luke and Nate emerged from their secret hideaway hidden lair what have you, it was early the next morning and they looked like death walking. Ben had taken up a spot on the cushioned bench on the wall between the kitchen and livingroom. His back was against the other wall, his feet up on the cushions and a cup of coffee was in his hands, cooling as he didn't drink much. He had yet to really sleep much. Just waiting for news.

"How is she?" he asked softly, looking up at the twins.

Ben's question was Alec's question so he let ben do the talking. He'd been destroying his own plate of pancakes when they had fallen into chairs. Alec pushed butter towards one twin and maple syrup towards the other.

Luke took he syrup, starting to smoother his pancakes in it, before looking over at Ben. "It's hard to say."

"And by hard to say it means this isn't something we can clear up overnight," Nate explained, before running a hand through his hair. "Were you there when we gave the Amy-is-part-of-her-DNA explanation?"
