Ruby had been enjoying her french fries, minding her own business, when the call ripped through her like a shockwave. That was the bad part about being bound in service to someone -- when they were in distress, whether or not they realized they were calling out, you were the one who got the call. It was an instantaneous response -- she already knew that they were far too late, and there was no way they were going to be able to get there in time to stop it.

Only thing they had left to do now, and that was to get there before any more damage was done.

She was on her feet in all of two seconds, leaving her food where it was and making her way to the door. Dean's head snapped up as he watched her leave with no explanation and no real sign of anything being wrong.

"Ruby, what the hell?"

Jinx had been laying at Alec's feet enjoying his own fast food treat when he felt something angry and hurt roll over him like a steam roller. He wimpered and flattened himself to the floor.

Alec looked down at him in concern and then up at the interior of the place. Ruby was already half way to the door and Sam and his brother looked like they've bee hit by baseball bats. Alec moved and put on the burst fo speed to head Ruby off. "What is going on." It wasn't a question. It was a demand.

It happened as one. Sitting in the corner booth eating when suddenly a bomb went off in both of the psychic Winchester's heads. Sam had just been standing up to find the restroom when he grabbed his forehead and cried out, stumbling and leaning against the table as the word NO slashed his brain along with pure anger and fear.

Ben was still in his seat thankfully, but the pain was just as harsh since he was able to feel the emotions more. Plus the feeling was familiar because he knew the person... that was supposed to be persons...

There was the briefest flash of a face, then just the agony again.

Ben recovered first and looked up with pained eyes. "Shit... we're too late..."

Which was exactly what Ruby was telling Alec. She blinked slightly when he stepped in front of her, shaking her head to clear her thoughts before hesitating briefly, then speaking.

"It's done."

Dean on the other hand, was reaching out to try and catch his brother, wondering what the hell had just happened, and why everyone was suddenly freaking out all around him.

Felicia, on the other hand, had actually been sleeping. It was a rare event for her, but it was happening nonetheless, and she shot awake like a bolt when it hit her. She didn't even think about what it could possibly mean -- in fact, she had no clue. But it couldn't be anything good, and there was the briefest flash of the caller of a demon she knew in a heartbeat.

She was on her feet in a matter of seconds, pulling on clothes and practically running out the door, needing to get away from here and to wherever Amy was as soon as possible. Clearly this was something where time was of the essence.

Lindsey felt the vibe, but no where near as strong. But the fact that Felicia, normal lazy happy to spend the day in bed Felicia, was out of bed and moving quickly made him wake up and chase after her.

"Babe, what's going on?" he asked, grabbing her arm to hold her back.

"I have to go," she said, giving a slight tug to get her arm free, before picking up her sword and continuing to move. "It's important. I don't know how long I'll be, but I'll try and be back soon."

Flimsy excuse, she knew, but it was the best she could do for the moment. Much better than 'I'm running off to a situation where I can possibly die, but probably will be mildly molested.'

"Give me a minute, I'll come with you." Luckily he had pants on. Just needed to get his knife from the kitchen table.

Sam had not been in the passenger side of the Impala for a long time. But it was amazing how he suddenly felt secure in it. It was like coming home again after a long time away.

Of course the circumstances leading to this homecoming were not the most ideal. But it had been almost a decade now. Too long.

He closed his eyes and just slumped in the seat, already aware that Dean had seen him in his moment of weakness and the inevitable questions that would follow.

He couldn't tell Dean. Not yet. Not like this.

Sam wasn't going to have much of a choice if Dean had his way. He managed to keep quiet for a while, waiting until they were back on the road again and had been driving for a while, before he spoke up, turning down the music slightly and glancing over at his brother.

"So. You going to tell me what's going on, or am I going to have to guess?"

"Dean, it's just a headache. I get them all the time when it effects my powers, remember?"

He obviously wasn't going to tell. So Dean was going to have to guess if he didn't believe him.

"Right, a headache. A headache that pretty much knocks you on your ass like that? The headaches weren't that bad when you first started using these stuff, Sam."

Dean knew his brother, regardless of all the things that had gone wrong for them, he knew. Something wasn't right, and he wasn't going to stop pushing till he got it.
