Someone is singing. In Russian, actually, though the Bar's translation field kicks in once she gets close enough to make out words.

"Moscow doesn't believe in tears,
Who will want, who will verify
Turutum tutum tutum turutum..." Katya, no longer in medical fashionista wear, suddenly trails off, realizing her former prison isn't entirely unoccupied.

And there's a dog.

A dog!

She is actively working on not glomping the dog. That is bad form. And unnecessary. Definitely.

Well, yes, unnecessary. Because the dog is thrilled to death that someone new is here to pay attention to him! Hooray!

There is going to be face-licking if he can manage it. If he can't, well, there's going to be the happy puppy butt dance and play-bows galore, because- new person.

Friendly dog! Katya is sold, down on her knees to cuddle the enthusiastic pup.

She'll get around to greeting the human soon. We swear. She's in withdrawal.

Oh, that's fine. The human likes to see her dog happy; it's kind of hard not to smile watching something like this. Dogmeat's a very enthusiastic fellow when he's not in an environment where new people might have to be killed for looking at his human funny. More so when it involves getting scritched or petted. That doesn't happen nearly enough back home.
