Wells woke briefly last night, long enough to look over at Annie and ask what she was doing there, but before she could answer he muttered something about blueberry cheesecake and dropped off again. He's asleep now. So's she.

Zuko's knife is still on the nightstand beside his bed.

It's not inconceivable that he could wake.

Here then is Svava, quietly walking into the infirmary, heading over to Wells' bed.

She thought he would be out by now. A worried, incomprehensiable glance to the medical chart at the foot of the bed, before walking up to take a closer, careful look at him. He looks slightly better, yes-

Svava sighs quietly, then looks to Annie.

"I certainly will, if I do see him." Svava nods, smiling. "And when Wells wakes up, do let him know we've been hoping for his recovery?"

"But of course," Annie says, surprised. "And you should also let him know that I'll save smacking him for being an idiot and not wearing his helmet properly later, 'cos God knows I plan to give him a good long talking-to about that."

Svava blinks, and then grins. "And no fun telling him such things now when he won't remember them properly."

"I'll be sure to give him fair warning, so he can be sure to anticipate that particular discussion."

"I'd like him cringing at the very thought, if you wouldn't mind," Annie says. "He scarcely ever thinks a thing of getting hurt, but he knows I don't piss around when I'm angry with him."

"I will certainly do my best then." Svava nods to Annie.

"... And then also make sure I'm clear on the other side of the lake when you do talk to him."

Annie smiles. "Might want some earplugs, as long as you're at it," she says sunnily.

"-A friend and I have a small cache of drinks and chocolate, hidden across the lake, for such occasions. Sounds like this will be one of them." Svava laughs.

"Though it would be good to add earplugs to it. ... And sunglasses to, come to think of it."
