So. Right now, Moiraine's seeing things from a radically different point of view.

Background, IC: See this mini-summary post.

Background, OOC: A week or so ago, I was talking with Gen and Sweeney about how River and Moiraine just couldn't quite manage coherent communication of any sort, which was a little frustrating, and how it was probably a good thing that Moiraine wasn't the psychic one. At about that point, we all looked at each other and said, "Hey, wait a minute...." Soon after, I approached Mir (Del-mun) with the idea, and she was gracious enough to lend her character to the effort in order to facilitate the madness, as it were. :)

What This Means: For the next three days, Moiraine will be experiencing the world much as River Tam does. In practical terms, she will be completely open psychically speaking-- as a receptive telepath/empathic type, without projective ability or control.

She'll pick up on thoughts and emotions, and will see and hear things that are not strictly occurring. She will still be bound by the Three Oaths, and unable to speak a word that is not true. Due to twenty-some years of controlling her outward reactions even under extreme duress plus other technical reasons, she will not be reacting in exactly the same ways that River does -- but she will be reacting.

Because of all this, she does have a bodyguard with her for the duration-- Dale Cooper. (Due to his being the essence of thoughts, among other things, Dream cannot act as Warder/visible guard without driving her irrreparably insane from eventual overload.) IC, Cooper's been given some information about certain people, but as to who and what... well, that's not always what one might expect.

So! If you have an interest in having your character encounter Moiraine in this semi-vulnerable, semi-dangerous state, please feel free to approach. :) I'm Aspenx3 on AIM; all I ask is that you let me know somehow-- whether in email, tag narration or via ping-- what she'd pick up in terms of emotions/thoughts, and we'll run with it from there. Oh, and one more thing to keep in mind: after it's all said and done, she will remember the experience, including anything that she learns by having "overheard" it.

Thanks!
