As someone who really liked the 2003 Hulk, I have to say every trailer I see for the new one make me less and less convinced I'll like it. It seems to be suggesting:
- bad CGI. - a highly simplistic plot. - everything that happens in the trailer is what happens in the movie. It's one of those "let's show you the whole film" trailers that are really beginning to piss me off. If that street fight between the Hulk and the "not remotely looking like the Abomination I remember" villain is actually the film's climax, I'm going to be deeply pissed off.
Well I loved the last Hulk, but this one seems more like the early comics, which is more action and less exposition.
I'm not sure the last Hulk looked all that good, but I think the new Hulk looks pretty good.
I'm not sure a Hulk movie needs too much in the way of a plot, other than to drive the action. The last hulk movie didn't really treat the Hulk as a hero, more like a force of nature. While Ang Lee's interpretation is intelligent and has real tension I also I like my Hulk to be doing alot of smashing up badguys.
I think its probably safe to say that the art of the trailer is dying.
