Just found this fic, and I love it - you really bring across the emptiness and grief of not having Hermione there. I like how you talk about what should have been but isn't - a summer that should have been safe but wasn't, a friendship with Harry that should have been easy, but isn't anymore... and then there were the little pieces, like Ron walking about like a ghost and Dean sending Ginny daily rambling letters, that really got to me. Thank you for a wonderful read.
