Was going to say just this. I used to think it wasn't real, but then I got over myself. The difference is, I'm poor and nobody will remember my real name, LOL. But it's entertaining, and that matters.

I really liked the conclusion to this-- very strong, and fits the story completely.

Doing "labors of love" with small scale results is not at all doing nothing. I don't really understand your friend's urge there to belittle, and it seems kind of rude.

This is how I feel about the book I'm writing. Will anyone ever read it? Meh, probably not. And when I get too caught up in getting it "right" I tend to get stalled out entirely. When I sit back and enjoy the process, though, it's all worth it.

(also, it sounds like a "real" game to me)
