Ugh, the beginning made me all weepy... THIS IS ALMOST CHRISTMAS, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME!? I love that you always try to show both brothers points of view, how much it sucks for both of them, but in a different way, which leads to misunderstandings between them...
Or who knows, maybe Sam and Jess have been feeding him broken glass.
Hahaha. For some reasons, this amuses me to no end. :D
AAAHHH. Jess is going with them to the "hospital"! (they're not really going to the hospital... right? *is dim*)
I love how you have these sections in the 2nd person, from Dean and now from Sam, giving different views of his illness. They're both such assholes, but so, so understandably.
It's really upsetting me, to tell you the truth... I don't see how you're going to fix everything. Of course, I know you ARE (you are you are you are, right???), but it's hard to see any light at the end of this incredibly congested and mucusy tunnel.
Great chapter, as always.
*dunks the cookie* *lets it get soggy* *gobbles it down*

Well... yes. They are. I guess it was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kinda thing:
"Is he dead?" [Sam] asks. "The guy?"
"I don't-- almost. They were working on him. Took him away in ambulance. God, and Nate was so--"
"--so they'd probably stash him in the hospital morgue," Sam mutters, more to himself than to her.
See, and then Sam is not-so-sneakily all, "man, what an amazing coincidence that the next victim is in the hospital, cause Dean totally needs to go to the hospital! Come on let's go Dean, cause you're like totally hospital sick, right?" And then he winks and nudges Dean like the clever, clever boy he is.
You probably missed it cause it's freakin' drowning in em-dashes *is a total failure* *hangs head in shame* :P
ANYWAY...
They're both such assholes, but so, so understandably.
HAHAHAHAHHAHAAHHA *shit-eating grin*
I don't see how you're going to fix everything. That depends on your definition of "fix," I suppose. >:) Thank you for your continued support,

I so love the flashbacks to Sam's childhood dealing with Dean's illness. It sucks for Sam and for John, but Dean's right. It's no picnic for him either. "This might be your new normal." What an awful thought. That he's not feeling better the way he usually does, but this might be as good as it's going to get for now, and it will only get worse as things go on. Poor Jess. Will she go to the hospital with them? And if so will they manage to ditch her while they check out the morgue? I'm really feeling for both of them here, and if I'm feeling bad for Sam, you're really writing him well. Keep up the good work and I can't wait for the next installment.
Thank you, sweets! It's really good to hear that all points of view are coming through here. I've really been trying to show that this kind of situation is difficult for everyone, and nobody can be strong and stoic and selfless *all* the time, not even Sam and Dean.
Thank you as always. You always put a smile on my face :D
