Cool Tree

Still working on capturing the coolness of cool trees. I'm not sure which of these I like better, so please compare and leave a comment.

Tough. The color one is nice because the green spots on the tree are part of it’s coolness, but I find the house in the background to be too distracting. I would maybe play with the levels in the first one and completely white out the sky in order to make the tree a bit more contrasty. I think that would help.

I tink I'd lose a lot of shadow detail if I pushed the contrast any further. :/

Not if you did it be bumping up the levels sligthly. At least I don't think you would.

Wow. It doesn't look remotely subtle on my monitor. This is why I like paper. :)
