JIM OF THE JUNGLE

Jan 20, 2008 00:42

I have completed the "Jungle Jim" set, and I'm officially sick to that pun.

Also, I'm moderately pleased with what came out. I kept the textures to a minimum because I was trying to keep a military, survival, rigid type feeling. Of course I did use some on the quotations which all relate to Jim's Peruvian Adventure. I have to add I'm really happy ( Read more... )

I tend to like my icons clean and crisp - so for me, 4 and 5 are quite perfect. ( I also have a thing for black and white images). I also like the way you've used actual quotes for the episode over the images. Very effetive - I especially like #9.

Keep playing! And get as OCD as possible..*g*

Thanks so much for the comment!
It's good to know clean and simple icons are appreciated, since I always feel like I need to find a way it make it more "interesting" when half the time I'm just really happy with the plain image.

Mmmm - pretty!

I like black and white and simple too, so 5, 11, and 15 are my favourites. Hope to see more from you soon :~)

Thank you! I took number four. It will go well with a story I'm writing.

I'm doing a long TS series, which the first story has twelve of the fourteen chapters posted, plus a couple of standalone short stories in that 'verse. It's called A Fair Distance and if you want to look at it, here's the tag page:
http://laurie-ky.livejournal.com/tag/a+fair+distance The next story is called Ball and Chain, and I'm going to use your icon for the third chapter,in which Jim is in the spirit plane, and he looks up to track his spirit animal in the jungle.

Mmm, nice - I especially like 17, the text going over the picture but enhacing rather than covering up (mmm, cheekbones)
