Amazing how different these dances can be - the only resemblance our Tinners bears to yours is the sticking (although we only do one bang on the ground) and the reel (although ours is slightly different to yours).

Dances seem to evolve when they reach Anonymous Morris. I think there's only about half the ones we do that are in their original form.

We only added one figure to Tinners (the sword dance move where the figure turns inside out), but we chose our other figures from a selection of side that did Tinners and picked the ones we liked.

I notice that our reel is evolving slightly. We're beginning to develop a style where the person being danced around turns shoulder to shoulder with the person doing the reel. I like that, we may make it more deliberate.

I think there's a slight North West influence on some of our moves, in that we like them to look crisp. (but fast and flowing at the same time)

Are you going to Eastercon? I'm doing several morris workshops there.

Greetings to the amazing Anonymous!
I liked your performance very much, the "hares" are very graceful and they are obviously enjoying themselves! Well, and your long-legged son is great!!!:-)
Thank you also for that highly interesting link for the origin of the Three Hares!
