I'm so sorry it didn't work out - I'm glad she'll get to enjoy a healthy life and they'll find you a replacement. I bet it training will go easier in that you'll know what to expect in the process.

Yes training was definitely easier knowing what to expect. Hugs back.

I'm thinking of you and Hermione also. I know how hard it will be to give her up today, but just remember how happy she is to just be a dog. She's going to be loving life! Best of luck in your mini TT. You'll get a great dog, even if he's no Hermione (which he won't be... he'll be different and great)! Hugs to both you and H.

Yeah it's true she was happiest being a pet and that's why she needed to retire. I have seen the difference now with a new dog who loves to work.

I'm sorry that Hermione will no longer be your service dog, but I'm glad this is not a barrier to your ability to get another service dog soon nor a barrier to her long-term happiness. I was afraid you were going to say she had to be put down. Thank goodness she can retire instead. It seems like Hermione needs a service human, and that's not really a good match for y'all.

You are so right! Hermione needs a service human. Thank you for putting it so clearly!
