I haven't known what to write about the stupidly uneccessary delays in delivering aid to Burma, and the impotent frustration that is tangible in the global media. The natural disaster is amplified and worsened by politics, in a situation far beyond political posturing. Simon Jenkins on the Guardian newpaper website wrote

*shrug* it's all about sensationalism. but in all seriousness, it's because the tibetans have really calmed down especially after the disaster in china. i guess the chinese soldiers are too busy trying to keep order in their own country that they don't have time to bully the tibetans. there haven't been and Tibetan protests at the UN as of late, either.

I'm sleepy tonight. Going to snuggle up and read a book. Winter has got here this week (ok, so maybe there is no snow like you lucky guys have got... but its comparitivly COLD!) I like it though. Can snuggle up with a cup of tea and a non-uni-related book (how rebellious of me)
