the world, and my visit to Perth

I haven't known what to write about the stupidly uneccessary delays in delivering aid to Burma, and the impotent frustration that is tangible in the global media. The natural disaster is amplified and worsened by politics, in a situation far beyond political posturing. Simon Jenkins on the Guardian newpaper website wrote this, which I think is well ( Read more... )

Holy shit, that is like the flight from hell. I can't believe that you managed to visit TWO capital cities before you made it to your destination. That is so so shit! I would be hell cranky!

fickle media

*shrug* it's all about sensationalism. but in all seriousness, it's because the tibetans have really calmed down especially after the disaster in china. i guess the chinese soldiers are too busy trying to keep order in their own country that they don't have time to bully the tibetans. there haven't been and Tibetan protests at the UN as of late, either.

and EEP. YAY POST-EXAM ME. ♥

I'm gladf you had fun at Perth with your mom! though i seriously can't believe how horridly the airline treated you oO. you'd think they'd want to keep customers?

gah.

GAH!!!!! Ellie back in the land of the living!!!!! *squee!*

I'm sleepy tonight. Going to snuggle up and read a book. Winter has got here this week (ok, so maybe there is no snow like you lucky guys have got... but its comparitivly COLD!) I like it though. Can snuggle up with a cup of tea and a non-uni-related book (how rebellious of me)

love

I'm reading trashy fantasy as a breather from heavy uni-all-day-readings. So lots of dragons and quests and evil pale women and plots inside plots. Good times

*dances with Ellie* YAY!!!!

snuggling is the best. whats the weather like in NY at the moment?
