Despite (or more likely, precisely because of) the appalling condition of my WIP folder, I seem to waste all my free time waffling over what to work on, reading pornography, and/or incubating melanomas. So with a number of free evenings coming up, someone...make the decision for me! Pick one! I do better with a focus.

Hey, thanks for the rec!

I think you should just take the 5 in the middle, the fics in progress, and just finish them all. Really. Put the rest of your life on hiatus. Sure.

But, by the by, aside from all the Star Trek prompts at bringthehappy, there are two Boston Legal Alan/Denny prompts, and two Holmes/Watson prompts to choose from.

Just sayin'.

The Spock/McCoy fic of doom started 3 years ago that may beyond my capacity to finish

I settled on that one, though. Because it will give you the most satisfaction to finish it.

I started a story for a friend about 3 years ago that I expected to dash off in a couple of weeks. And I got so knotted up over it that I didn't actuallly finish it for over 2 years--mostly because everytime I thought about working on it I wanted to fall down. I wanted to do it right, and didn't feel that I was.

So I finishd it and had it beta read and then realized it still wasn't right, so I added some more. I'm about 3 inches from finishing it right now. And I can't tell you how glad I will be to have it in a state where I don't cringe when I read it, and I no longer feel the need to keep adding and changing.

So I vote for the 3-year-old one. Of course, the one that makes you want to howl and run away would be good, too.

You really didn't expect that you coudl spend your free evenings doesn't something that didn't hurt a little, did ya?
