Have you seen Gone Baby Gone? I really enjoyed it (though the final act strained credulity somewhat) and it definitely shows more of Boston and a completely different side of Boston than the pretty exteriors we get on BL. I'd be lying if I said I didn't spend most of the movie marveling at the differences.
You're welcome for both, especially the PJs. Seems to be a shortage of Alan drabbles around and abouts these days....
GBG, nope, but I'll add it., thanks. What hit me most about The Departed (aside from the massive amounts of blood splatter, that is) is the accents! I mean, DUH! I guess that's what happens when you film Boston in LA, but still, in retrospect it made me laugh that it's such an obvious omission.
And yeah, sure is a lot more to Beantown than Back Bay, I know.
Actually, I'm guessing Denny is nekkid. Alan wears weird stuff to bed (see icon). I went through a number of PJ possibilities and ended up with pirate so that he could have his rapier flapping against his hip as he sat and Denny could make the obvious sword euphemism joke/threat/or is it?

But both had to get cut.
Damn word counts!
