You don't move the background layer. Duplicate it(CTRL + J) and then on the side of the page there's a tab that says Layers. Make sure that's selected. Click on Normal and scroll down to Screen. Then go to Opacity and replace 100% with 25%.
For the texture all you have to do is right click on it where it is in this tut, and copy it. Go to photoshop and your icon and press (CTRL + V). The texture will automatically appear on top and then all you have to do is set it to Multiply.

But I don't understand some of the instructions. I didn't know how to move the background layer and set to screen 25%.
Can you tell me in a way that I'll understand please.
