They let me babble in Japanese and tell my stories and say things like "well, in Japan..." ad nauseum. Aw, this was SUCH a good post!

My family is like this too and it's nice to see someone who appreciates such things. I hadn't even known "reverse culture shock" existed or could be a problem. Hadn't thought about it!

Family rocks. There is nothing more important.

Yeah, they talked to us about reverse culture shock a lot in the months before we left the JET program. Apparently a lot of people suffer badly from it. Fortunately, I was not one of them. Phew!
