Elementary Children Have Drained All My Love

Forgive me if this entry seems a bit messier than my usual writing. I spent eight hours today teaching cooking class and now I am so beat that I can barely move. It's nice though that I got a day and an hour of daikyuu. I think I'm going to have to use some of it tomorrow to go home early, though, which kind of defeats the purpose of gathering ( Read more... )

Aww cooking is fun. I'm sure it was tiring with that many kids, though. Oddly enough I've never had anything catch on fire yet, other than the time we made s'mores and some kids toasted their marshmallows a bit too much.

I know the doing-nothing-weekend feeling. That's pretty much what I did this weekend. I played videogames but I kept screwing up and having to reset, so it was almost as if I hadn't played. It's sad when you look at the clock at 7 and feel like your day should be over by now but you have to kill more time before you can sleep. Don't most people crave more time? I oddly crave less.

I hope you can find something to entertain your 2nd years.

I think I'm actually going to use your teacher's points-behind-the-card game you mentioned a few entires back. It sounds like fun. I'm going to try with 2nd years, though and I hope it's enough to hold their attention. Otherwise we'll be playing Foods Basket. Long live laziness! ;P

Hehe.... I totally played that game with 3 classes today and they all liked it ^__^ never tried with jr high kids before but I hope it works for you. Today I used it with "when is your birthday" and "where are you going?"
