I will say my fill about the election here. I have been silent for a long time, ignoring the attacks and the jeers and the general bad vibes coming from the blue people, but I feel like I need to vent now. And so I will

Awww I'm mad that the girl was a bitch. :( I hope it didn't seem like I was bitching. I'm not. I just want to make it clear that I don't subscribe the the Audacity of Hope. ;P
America has decided. I will accept it and move forward with the rest of my country. I just hope we can all go back to being Americans and not Conservatives and Liberals. I hate being so divided.
Well, I am proud to say I am one of those conservatives with a live/let live attitude. I am highly of the opinion that people are free to make any decisions they want (which includes being in love with whichever gender makes you happy and squishy inside.) And, really, there are no right-or-wrong answers in life. This is why I abandoned the Catholic faith a long time ago and took up Agnosticism.
I like being able to say, "Well, I don't know what is right because no one can know that. And maybe we never will." It's actually more of belief system than a religion. And I'm of the opinion that no religion has it right. Furthermore, I don't have any suggestions. So, yeah... Wow. I'm in rant mode now. Sorry!
Anyway, what I mean to say is, I have my opinions and you have yours. Which is precisely why we have an election. *nod nod*
I think my high point of this election, the thing that gave me the most hope was not Obama's victory, but McCain's nomination. It was great to see the Republican base shake off the loonies and nominate an intelligent candidate who wanted to serve, rather than push an agenda.
As for "Change"... well, change is coming, one way or another. The last few months have shown that things can't continue the way they've been. But is it really fair - or realistic - to expect individuals to spontaneously do what needs to be done? And I think it's certainly unrealistic to expect corporations to do the right thing without government regulation. So what you call the "Wizard of Oz", I call a leader

I am shocked at how many of you are experts in politics now that Dear Leader has been elected. Those corporations were doing just fine until the democrat leadership and groups like ACORN pressured congress to lax the loan-approval standards so that people with little or no assets (poor people, if you will) were able to get loans. When they defaulted (surprise, surprise), the housing bubble burst, causing this fiasco. I swear to god it was DEMOCRATS that caused this economy to implode. BUSH TRIED THREE TIMES TO REGULATE THE MORTGAGE INDUSTRY AND NANCY PELOSI AND HARRY REID BLOCKED IT EVERY SINGLE FREAKING TIME!
