You should go for your masters in library science. I will one of these days, and then we can be librarians together. My dream was always to work at the new Largo library. Then that Technical Writer thing happened (and Joe happened, too). Oh well.
Being a published author isn't easy, but you sound motivated enough. Maybe you should start with short story type magazines. They have contests where you can actually win money and such. I always wanted to submit something, but I'm not creative as of lately.
My ex-boyfriend's friend's ex-husband (did you get that?) publishes a literary journal. And my ex-boyfriend has been published twice in it. I don't know if the ex-husband is still publishing, but if you want I can find out for you. It's on Amazon, so it's a REAL literary journal. If you want, I can find out more for you. It would probably be really easy to get published, and would give you some credits to your name.
Like I said, I haven't decided on what my master's will be yet. It really depends on how well my writing is received in the next couple of years.

If you feel like editing anything, I just created a mini-series screenplay based on a CCS fan fic. The characters have been made original, though. Now if only I could get Joss Whedon to like it and direct it and cast me as the lead :P If you wanna read it, you're more than welcome. Only if you're really bored, though. It's long and it's only the first draft. There's much work to be done, including going back through and putting in the town name. I didn't decide on a town name until I was working on the end, so it says "our town" and other such things quite often. The town is now named Midway, because there are 40 places called Midway in the US. Yey, ambiguous towns that could be anywhere!

I'd love to read anything you write, especially if it's a screenplay! Send it on over! I can't promise I'll get back to you right away, but I can read and edit it as I go. Once I am experienced enough in criminology, I want to write a book called "Getting Away with Murder" and explain how those dumbass kids killed Natilie Halloway and, of course, how OJ "the glove don't fit" Simpson killed his estranged wife and her boyfriend. I am going to need your help because I'd like to make it as easy to read as possible so the whole world understands that they are a bunch of sociopaths.
I miss you like a drunk redneck misses his remote controller when he lost it in his pile of empty packs of Marlboro 100's .
lol, actually, making the book readable would be Rachel's department with the technical writing degree and all. But she'll make it readable and I'll make it enjoyable. lolz.

yes, i saw the commercial for it and all of a sudden summer glau is opening a car door and saying "come with me if you want to live"!!
